Bury-based Kresko Ltd are today announcing a 3 year sponsorship deal with local charity The Bolton Bulls Wheelchair Basketball Club.

Over the 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 basketball seasons, Kresko will donate a minimum of £250 per season to the club to assist with the annual running costs of the basketball club.

Kresko will also be supporting the club with further fundraising efforts as the club aims to raise at least £5,000 per season to cover it’s running costs.

Kresko are a local software development company, specialising in creating ecommerce websites, mobile applications and website hosting solutions.

Graeme Lambert, Director at Kresko Ltd, said, "We are proud to support the Bolton Bulls as the only wheelchair basketball club serving the Bury and Bolton area.

"Without Bolton Bulls, many disabled people in Bury and Bolton would be unable to participate in a sport on a weekly basis and would also lose out on a vital social activity. We look forward to supporting Bolton Bulls for the next 3 years and beyond.

Bolton Bulls compete in the GBWBA National League 3rd Division North and have men and women of all ages playing for the club. Bolton Bulls are an inclusive wheelchair basketball club, with able bodied players playing alongside players with disabilities including cerebral palsy, spina bifida and dyspraxia to name a few.

Steve Aston, Club Secretary at Bolton Bulls, said, "Bolton Bulls are extremely grateful to Kresko for the support they have offered the club, both in terms of providing financial assistance and offering assistance with our annual fundraising efforts."

Weekly training sessions are held at Smithills Sports Centre, Bolton, BL1 6JS on Thursday nights between 8:30pm and 10:30pm.

Bolton Bulls recently announced an urgent fundraising appeal to generate £5,000 to keep the charity operating beyond the 2018-19 basketball season. Weekly training sessions, at least 7 matches per season with court hire, officials fees and refreshments paid for by the charity and repairs and maintenance on the basketball wheelchairs contribute to the high annual running costs.
